Hey Joe, thanks for your comment and your dedication to the series! Yes, it is interesting to see they’ve stepped up — I agree about Carlisle 100%. He isn’t that great. I actually think having all the leagues on in the background has created massive transfer wars for players, and so English teams don’t just have the pick of the world’s best prospects any more. As a result they’re forced to look elsewhere.

I’d love Lampard but I doubt we could afford him, and Arteta hasn’t really developed since he left Barcelona. He also wanted mega money. I’m toying with the idea of moving Mahouvé into that central midfield position, or putting Paulo Sousa in there to hold the ship steady. It’s a thought.

And yes, Falcao’s pace hasn’t quite come along as you’d expect, and I doubt I’ll get a WP for him, but even still… £1m going in River’s direction!
